Hello everyone, it have been a long time since i last updated my bloggy. I'm too tired and lazy to update as i fall sick recently with a terrible flu, yet i still have to work because i have not receive my confirmation and if i take MC they will deduct my pay. So i took some medication to recover from it and i makes me sleep after i reach home from work till the next morning till i go to work. I did not feel like blogging then.
080808 should be a good and auspicious day but it turned out to be bad. Had my afternoon shift and everything was fine and till about 8pm in the evening one of the storage tank overflowed. Totally spoil the team day, all of us was busy for this damn shit. A few of us went to look for lots of barang barang to cover the asphalt on the tank ground if not it will melt and i will damage the tank structure. Busy covering the circumference of the tank with the droplets of black field oil dripping down on us. By then my blue coverall have become 1/2 black with all these oil stain all over me.
When the tools all arrived, we climb up the tank and clean the whole entire platform which is filled with a thick layer of oil. Squat on the platform for hours clean up with oil to the containers and cleaning up the stain with Jet fuel which we carried up all the way up from another place. We just continue to clean and not knowing that it was already 2am in the morning, it was almost done and the operation manager tell us to stop clean and we will continue another day. Went back to the mess room to hydrate myself. We are so happy that the OM say that we can take the specially arrange 0230 boat back home. We quickly have our bath and went to the boat to the wait. Reach home at 0330hrs then straight away K.O on the bed. I will never forget the Tank 183 in my life. This incident is cause by human error which my supervisor did the wrong calculations and cause the overflow.
Had my off day and I went down to EVSS to clear some documents with the cadets and some issue with the teacher. Then went for a walk around TM and went home after that, i spent my 2nd off day sleeping at home to replenish my energy for the next block of my work. Then the same cycle comes again, another 7days till off again.
Wake up early last Saturday and went down to EVSS again to collect some cert from the cadets so that i can submit for some applications of badges then took a cabby down to St. John NHQ to meet up with Chui Yee to submit the documents and collect the blank certs for printing. My objective is to get MR Chua to sign some certs so that i can purchase the badges but i did not waste my effort to go down even to clear some documents. Walk to Suntec to see the career fair and it was very crowded not with Singaporean but plenty of foreigners to apply for jobs. There is nothing there that interest me except for the Uni booth which i went to ask on some off the Uni course that i want to study in the near future. Walk over to MS Food Court to have my lunch as i knew that it will be crowded at Suntec side. I shop around MS after lucnh before i make my way to work.
Work as per normal that day till 8 plus till my supervisor coms me. Supervisor : "Chen Come In" Me: "Send" Supervisor : " Want to do OT anot, I just receive call from Alpha team need one more man OT" Me:"ok lor" Supervisor: "Paiseh leh no body cover liao then ask you because tomolo so and so cover OT le"
Working night shift OT is good money but you can hardly get any rest. Finished the night shift and 3 of us took the 0640 first boat back to main land. Took a bus home and reach back at 0805hrs and mange to fall asleep only at 0830hrs then sleep till 12pm then i need to wash up and go to work again for afternoon shift again. It is very tired as i spent more then 16hrs for work. i tell myself to endure because 2 more days off day coming.
Tonight will be night shift and tomorrow one more then off for me.
